Client Story

Such Creatures Exist is an aggressive heavy metal band from Iowa — and I’m the lead singer. I handle the design and creative direction for everything visual: album art, merch, promotional videos, social content, and our website. The goal is simple: showcase our music with stunning artwork people want to wear on their backs.
The Problem

In a genre packed with gritty visuals and over the top imagery, we needed a brand that stood out while still embracing the intensity of heavy music. We didn’t want to copy trends — we wanted to create something that felt authentic to us and our sound.

The Solution

We worked with All4Band Design to create the band’s logo and emblem, and I directed the process using my experience as an Art Director. From there, I built a visual system to support our identity — designing everything from merch drops to album artwork to our online presence. One standout piece: a skull t-shirt design that sold through 70% of our inventory in under two weeks. I also created circular logo stickers, which we pass out at shows to keep our visuals in the hands (and on the gear) of fans.
The Result

Our merch doesn’t just support the music — it extends it. People wear our shirts to other shows, tag us online, and comment on the designs. Promoters regularly reach out via our website contact form, and overall site traffic continues to climb with each release. The visual brand has become as much a part of our identity as the music itself.

Takeaways

Designing for my own band sharpened my instincts for audience engagement, brand cohesion, and creative leadership. It taught me how to build a system that’s both bold and flexible — and how powerful design becomes when it’s woven into every touchpoint of a brand.
