I’m Ben Barrett, a design and brand strategist based in Waverly, Iowa. Over the last decade, I have leveraged my experience as a graphic designer and creative leader to build professional brands rooted in strategy and credibility.
My Story
My design journey began in 2008 with Photoshop. What started as a hobby evolved into a career at fast paced agencies, where I eventually served as an Art Director. While I valued the experience of leading creative teams, I found my true passion in the one on one partnerships that happen when working directly with business owners.
Today, I’m fully dedicated to Barrett Graphics. I’ve shifted my focus toward the local community, using my 10+ years of experience to help businesses like yours craft their next chapter.
Design Philosophy
My design philosophy is rooted in the belief that every design must have purpose. Each element, whether color, typography, or layout, should be intentional and strategic.
I create bold, dramatic designs that capture attention while maintaining clarity. I believe in color’s power to evoke emotion and make a statement, enhancing without overwhelming. Above all, I prioritize strong calls to action, guiding the audience and driving results.
My Mission
During my time at agencies, I noticed a problem. Big brands got the best work simply because they had the biggest budgets. Small businesses were often forced to settle for "good enough" because they couldn't afford a large firm.

I started Barrett Graphics to fix that. I bring the same level of care, strategy, and detail used by the big brands directly to you. I believe the local coffee shop or the independent contractor deserves to look just as professional as the industry giants.

What are your body mods?
I have my septum pierced, my ears are stretched to 1 inch and I have 10 tattoos.

2 dogs! Lily and Daisy!

This is a tough one but probably Pulp Fiction!

Lately I've been playing Pokémon Blue!
