Client Story

Red Team is a nonprofit organization founded by a group of veterans dedicated to helping fellow veterans with tasks around the home — like building wheelchair ramps, repairing steps, or lending a hand with other physically demanding projects. When the organization launched, they needed a strong visual identity to match their mission of service, solidarity, and strength.
The Problem

The name Red Team comes from military terminology used in the U.S. Army to describe a group that challenges the status quo — testing systems, finding weaknesses, and strengthening the whole. It was a fitting name for a nonprofit of veterans helping veterans. What they needed was a logo that reflected that same spirit: bold, unified, and mission driven, without feeling corporate.

The Solution

I created a logo that leans into black and red — no grays, no fluff. The design uses strong type and a minimal, emblem style mark that reflects a sense of order and grit. It’s simple, powerful, and immediately recognizable. The logo was created for the founding of the organization and has since been used on apparel like shirts and mesh shorts to build team spirit and brand visibility.
The Result

The client was thrilled with the final design, saying it exceeded what they had imagined. The logo has helped solidify Red Team’s presence in their community and gives them a professional face as they continue to do real, hands on good for fellow veterans.

Takeaways

This project showed the impact a clear, confident logo can have — especially when it supports a cause rooted in service and trust. Red Team was more than a design challenge — it was an opportunity to help launch something meaningful.
