Client Story

Bear Beer Brewing started as a college project — a deep dive into building a craft beer brand from scratch. The goal: explore how visual identity could convey both rugged charm and premium quality. Years later, the logo was purchased by a real world brewer named Bjørn, giving the project a second life beyond the classroom.
The Problem

Many outdoor themed beer brands fall into the same visual traps — overly rustic, cliché, and lacking personality. I wanted Bear Beer to feel adventurous but refined, something you’d spot on a campsite cooler or a craft beer shelf and know instantly: this is quality.

The Solution

I created a bold bear icon using clean, geometric lines paired with a minimalist color palette. The logo strikes a balance between strength and simplicity, designed to work across everything from cans to coasters to branded gear. I also developed a drink menu mockup for core beers like "Bear Beer" and "Grizzly Gulp," to really imagine where the brand could go.
The Result

Originally crafted for class, this project has evolved into a real brand asset. Selling the logo to Bjørn was a reminder that strong design can live far beyond its original purpose — and that even student work can spark real world impact.

Takeaways

Bear Beer Brewing is proof that thoughtful design stands the test of time. It highlights how I approach brand building with both creativity and scalability in mind — whether for a classroom, a portfolio, or the real world.
