Client Story

White Line

Husker Auto Group is a well established collection of dealerships based in Lincoln, NE, representing brands like Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW. With more than 20 years in business, the group is a known name in the region — but their branding didn’t reflect their stature. The creative lacked cohesion and felt disjointed across individual stores.

The Problem

Each dealership had its own look and feel, making the group appear fragmented rather than united. Their existing creative didn’t reflect the premium brands they carried or their deep local roots. The group needed a polished identity that honored their Nebraska pride while streamlining the experience for their customers across all stores.

The Solution

As part of speculative agency work, I developed branding that elevated their presence while keeping it rooted in the community. I created a new Husker Auto Group logo, drawing inspiration from the iconic Nebraska “N” and transforming it into a bold “H.” I also created a supporting campaign logo — “Find Your Advantage” — which played off the local football culture and emphasized the group’s strengths in selection, service, and savings. I designed direct mail, point of sale collateral, social templates, and display ads to support the campaign.

The Result

Although the project was completed as internal agency work and I can’t confirm if it was presented to the client, it remains a standout example of my ability to develop branding that blends heritage with a modern edge. The visual system brought unity across the group and clarified their messaging for prospective customers.

Takeaways

White Line

Working on Husker Auto Group gave me a chance to flex my automotive experience and apply strategic branding across multiple platforms. It also showed me how even large, established businesses benefit from clear, consistent visual identity. Regardless of where this project landed, I’m proud of the thinking behind it.
